About this Artist
7 Years Today
From the moment that 7 Years Today opens their live show it is clear they are a musical force to be reckoned with. Part rock and roll swagger, part wistful country, this band pulls no punches in letting you know their songs come from the stoic determination to create music akin to the great albums of the past.
7 Years Today started out in the barracks of Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Mylon English, serving in the U.S. Army began to write songs and perform as he dealt with the challenges of Army life and being away from his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri.
Mylon's service led him to Ft. Hood, Texas where he met several local musicians including Matt Siegel, a guitarist and New York native who moved to Texas several years ago. It was here that 7 Years Today would form into the band it is today once Mylon's stint in the military was over.
Over the years the band has grown into a sound that fuses rock and roll, country, blues, americana, and other forms of American music.
7 Years Today has shared the stage with artists such as Wade Bowen, Cory Morrow, Stoney Larue, Whiskey Myers, Bleu Edmonson, Blackberry Smoke, Jonathan Tyler and the Northern lights, and many others artists.
7 Years Today is a Shock Top True Music Band - Jack Hilliard Anheuser-Busch Distributing, Temple, TX.
