The Blue Monday Jam Session is a weekly event featuring The Taters as the house band. After a short set, musicians are invited up to play, usually one or two at a time, until a whole new band is formed. Many interesting and exciting performances unfold. If you want to play, tell the doorman your intention and you will get the reduced entrance fee. Please put your name on the signup list on top of the piano.

Cole and Joe Tate have teamed to be the Taters. That's what all the kids called us in school. We play sketches of rock, blues, country and more. Lonnie Walters assists us with the bongos. With the bongos and guitars, it's an intimate sound that is lively but not too loud.

Joe Tate is a former member of the Redlegs of Sausalito Waterfront fame. Joe still lives at Gate 5 with his wife Donna. He plays the No Name Bar every Saturday with the GATERS from 6-8:30 PM. Joe also hosts Blue Monday every week at the Sausalito Cruising Club
