From the Santa Cruz Mountains comes the modern Funk band, Funkranomicon. Funkranomicon writes dynamic, high energy, hip, contemporary, Funk and Soul music.
Funkranomicon is quickly becoming a Bay Area favorite. The band has played numerous festivals including the main stage of the San Jose Jazz Festival where they opened for The Ohio Players.
Their most recent CD “Book of Funk” and was produced by Milton Davis who has produced artists such as The Neville Brothers.
Band trivia - the band gets its name from "The Necronomicon", a fictional book appearing in the stories by horror novelist H. P. Lovecraft and his followers.
